It is understood that the axle can be integral, like a huge barbell, and the body is supported by the suspension system at both ends. Therefore, the integral axle is usually matched with a non-independent suspension; it can also be disconnected, like Two umbrellas are inserted on both sides of the body, and then each supports the body through a suspension system, so the disconnected axle is matched with an independent suspension.
The function of the axle is to transmit the force and torque in various directions between the frame (or load-bearing body) and the wheels, which has an important impact on the vehicle's dynamics, stability, and load-bearing capacity.

2. According to different driving modes, there are four types of axles: steering axle, driving axle, steering driving axle and supporting axle. Among them, the steering bridge and the support bridge are both automatic bridges. Many cars use front and rear drive (FR), the front axle as the steering axle, the rear axle as the drive axle, and the front drive (FF) car as the front axle as the steering drive axle, and the rear axle as the support axle.
The inspection of the steering knuckle of the rear axle of the car usually uses three methods to determine whether it needs to be replaced. The first is to use the magnetic flaw detection method to check whether the steering knuckle journal and upper and lower ears of the rear axle of the car are cracked. .
Secondly, when the thread at the end of the steering knuckle shaft is damaged, it needs to be replaced; another is to check the wear of the steering knuckle journal, if it is severely worn, replace it.
Check whether the transverse and straight tie rods of the rear axle of the car are cracked, threaded or damaged. If the above defects are found, they should be replaced.
Check the profile iron to check whether the tie rod is bent. The radial runout of the middle part is below 3mm. When this value is exceeded, the tie rod needs to be corrected or replaced with a press.
Check whether the ball seats, springs and plugs in the rear axle steering straight tie rod assembly and the tie rod joint assembly are worn and damaged. If the defects are serious, they should be replaced. When replacing the ball seat, it should be replaced together with the ball pin.
Inspection and repair of automobile rear axle bearings and oil seals. After cleaning the steering pin thrust bearing and the inner and outer tapered bearings of the wheel hub, check for peeling, wear, and rotating noise, and replace if necessary. Check whether the hub oil seal is damaged or malfunctioning, and replace if necessary.
